My time at RSP has finally come to an end...
Sad to be leaving but am happy to leave knowing that i have gained valuable knowledge and experienced things that i would never have learnt anywhere else.
The people at RSP are hard working and dedicated to their jobs, which is an inspiration to myself. Ryan, himself, is the hardest working man i have ever come across, and without giving it away- there are many new exciting and incredible things to come regarding him, his career, personal life, and work.
I got the opportunity to go to the Eclipse premiere, meet Miley Cyrus and a number of other celebrities, experience a day in the life of Ryan Seacrest and make many new friends...
Thank you to all the people at RSP, especially Tony Novia, and thank to everyone who has been there for me throughout this journey and been supportive and helpful- i would never have been able to do it without you all.
And a special thanks to Foschini's for all the clothes that kept me looking stylish and gorgeous!! :)
i will be returning to America really soon, and hope to extend my career with all the contacts that i have made.
until then....... watch this space! SA I WILL BE BACK SOON!!!

Josh Brolin joined Ryan Seacrest on-air, to discuss the release and news the upcoming Movie "Jonah Hex" which is released in cinemas, 18 June 2010.
'Jonah Hex' is based on a comic book which has been around since the year of 1971, when the character was first created. The comic included 3 totally different and entertaining manifestations. "It's one of these comic book that's not like batman, spiderman, it wasn't an extremely famous comic by any means, but it survived. It survived until now." Regarding the 3 different manifestations, Josh explained, "The just kept changing it to see what would click with an audience."
In the new movie, Jonah Hex, an important aspect of Josh's character is how his face is burned by John Malkovich's character, Quentin Turnbull, after he indirectly killed his son. This results in a revenge tale that makes up an interesting part of the movie.
Josh expressed how ot takes 3 long hours -daily- to apply the prosthetics and make-up that ultimatley leads to his damaged 'burnt face' look, and goes on to joke that he had to shave off half his beard for them to be able to apply the make-up, and so, "I was walking around New Orlean's when i wasn't working with a half a beard, which im sure was extremely attractive."
The film includes the newly engaged and sexy Megan Fox, who plays a prostitute with 'a heart of gold'. Josh describes Megan as "a truck driver at heart", as well as "a lot of fun to hang out with. She held her own."
Josh, a father of 3, jokes about not knowing what to get his father for Father's Day and says "I'm at a loss like everyone else." Josh's father, James Brolin, will appear live in-studio this July, and has just produced his own movie, titled "Standing Ovation".
When confronted about a sequel to "The Goonies", which was filmed 25 years ago, Josh Brolin explains- after talking with Stephen Spielberg- "There's been 5 different scripts, but he's actually looking for the right script, so i think his intention is to ultimately do it." Good news for all "The Goonies' fans.

The series premiere of "Holly's World" premiere's this Sunday at 10:30pm on E!. Holly describes "Holly's World" as "me and my friends out in Las Vegas trying to make our goals and our dreams happen and the drama and craziness that goes on".
Holly also decribes "Holly's World" as 'crazier' than 'The Girls Next Door' as the camera's are with them and rolling 24/7 and they cannot tell them to leave or cut out any specific parts of their daily activities. Its been described as "real, raw and uncut".
Included in her show, is, who she describes as her boy 'BFF' Josh, one of the singers in "Peep Show", as well as her room mate Laura, and best friend Angel Jones. All are described as 'crazy, super cute, super hot, and single'. According to Holly, she would probably be seen as 'wilder' on "Holly's World", as apposed to 'The Girls Next door', but she specifically picks and chooses the nights she goes out. Holly says that she would not be able to party every night or else she would be what she describes as a "traaaaaaaain wreck".
Something on everyones mind, and probably what everyone wants to know, is, if she is indeed dating Benji Madden, member of the band Good Charlotte.
When asked about Benji Madden and being 'unavailable' Hollly responded by saying "No, i am(available)" and quickly added "We're good friends but we're not dating"
Holly Madison definitely shows no hard feelings towards her ex Hugh Hefner, and tells us how she wants him to be happy and to have girlfriends that would take care of him, as she knew he would never be without a girlfriend or girlfriends.
Looking back, Holly does hope that she was the one whom was 'most inlove' with Hef and goes on to say "i think he's a good guy and deserves the best".
When asked about the break up she felt that she "had outgrown the situation, and grew too old for him" and furthermore explains that she had done all that she could have done while with Hef and at the Playboy Mansion, and needed to move on. She describes Hef as an 'uncle' to herself, Kendra and Bridget.
Holly feels that if she were asked to appear in the Playboy magazine again, she would do it at a later stage in her life, and wouldnt do it anytime soon. She feels if she did it now it would be "boring"
On Holly's list of things she wants to do in the near future, is get married and have children. Considering that Holly see's herself as 'unsucessful in dating' she feels she has not met people that she likes. Holly debates whether Las Vegas is an appropriate setting to meet 'the one' and goes on to say that maybe she should become a bachelorette.
Holly plans to remain in Las Vegas, where she has bought a house, but explains how she misses all her friends back home in Las Angeles. Holly says that she is indeed still very close to her girlfriends, Kendra and Bridget, of whom she is still very supportive and close to.

Story for RSP - Joan Rivers
Joan rivers joined us this morning, in studio with Ryan Seacrest, to discuss her new documetary "A Piece of Work", that will be realeased in selected theatres, today, 10th June.
Joan compares herself to that of Chris Rock, and Kathy Griffen, and describes herself as the "tamest" between the 3 of them. Kathy and Joan have known each other for the past 20 years and shows no hard feelings towards Kathy when she started doing her routine. A lot of people may see Kathy’s routine as that of Joan’s, as it has been described as, "its kind of yours". Joan says "its so good to see her kind of break through, she should have broken through with Suddenly Susan".
Joan describes her documentary as 'serious', and she explains that she has two documentarians who decided on a new and different approach, and whom have been nominated for an Emmy's and Oscars for their works.
The two documentarians filmed Joan's documentary for a period of 14 months, and Joan goes on to decribe them as "they became my family". Joan jokes about the two male documentarians being vegetarian and how she is now aware of every vegetarian restaurant in America.
The aim of Joan's documentary and what she describes as her motto is, "get off your ass and go to work". Joan also wanted her show to prtray a message of "stop wining" ang that "age is difficult" as this business and industry is a tough job but at the end of the day you have just got to do it. to add to that, Joan wanted her audience to also see her humor and how funny she can be, as a lot of people mainly know her from her appearances on the carpet as well as "Now How'd You Get So Rich" and feels that many people have forgotten that she is actively involved in stand-up.
An important event that occurs in the documentary is how Joan came about receiving the job of being the first person to go out onto the red carpet and speak her mind.
This came about when two E! executives were in discussion regarding the red carpet and putting someone out there who was willing to speak their mind, and Melissa, Joan's daughter, suggested that her mother was the right person for the job. Joan describes herself as "i will do anything, cause you never know what doors gonna be the one thats gonna work".
when it comes to Joan, nothing is too small. She explains that "you never know whats going to work, see i do everything, try everything".
Joan, 77, still feels as young as ever, and regularly exercises and keeps active up and down the stairs in her triplex residence. With her last big romance ending 3 years ago, she still enjoys the dating scene, and jokes about not missing the sexual part of a relationship.
Joan discusses the likes of her celebrity friends, but an interesting topic that she openly tackles, is that of Jesse James, whom accompanied Joan on 'Celebrity Apprentice'. She describes him as "adorable to us, he was lovely, he was sweet, he was a gentleman, he would help you pick up your things".
Joan goes on to speak about her thoughts regarding the Jesse James and Sandra Bullock split, and states "I was shocked, and i was very sad, very sad for her too, but i bet they get back together. I bet he's gonna clean himself up".
Catch Joan Rivers' new real, honest and truthful documentary, "A Piece of Work", that airs today, 10th June, at all selected theatres.
Khloe and Kourtney
The sexy and sassy Kardashian sister's, Kourtney and Khloe, joined us in-studio with Ryan Seacrest to discuss their brand new season of "Kourtney and Khloe take Miami".
The second season airs the 11th June, at 10pm, and is guaranteed to be full of fun, drama, tears, and the biggest addition to this season is the newest addition to the Kardashian family, Mason Dash Disick, who will be six months old in a couple of days.
When asked about Scott, Khloe explains that the feud between her and the father of her nephew had been "Four years in the making". In Khloes eyes she feels that as an outsider she has a better all around opinion Scott, and expresses "sometime when you're in something and you're so in love, love is blind and you're blinded by what he's really doing".
Khloe confronts her sister and says "maybe you should take a step back and look at everyone, and maybe just try to see, are they right?". Khloe feels that Kourtney has never taken a step back and considered that maybe shes the only person who isn't seeing Scott the way everyone else is seeing him.
In the new season the sister's juggle the likes of both being in a different plce in their lives, and khloe being a newly married woman and Kourtney having to deal with the drama and problems with Scott while juggling the job of being a great mom and protecting their son.
One of the interesting and hysterical events that happens in the show that is brought up is when Kourtney offers to wax Khloe, just before Lamar comes into town to pay her a visit. According to Khloe, he had made that mistake once before when she was 14 years old, where "she convinced me somehow that i needed to wax my upper lip" which resulted in burns and a "scab as a maustache". Kourtney still claims to this day, "I am a pro, i used to do this in college to all of my friends".
Needless to say this resulted in the use of butter and frozen pea's to sooth the after affects.
Ryan asks Khloe about her feelings towards the fact that Celtic players held up masks of her face at a game against the Lakers last weekend, and she responded by saying "i just think everything's funny, i dont really take anything too personally", and describes how her husband, Lamar, considered that to be "so weird" and "so disrespectful", as everyone held up masks of her face and it was all over the stadium.
Mason, the son of Kourtney will be six months in a couple of days, and Kourtney is complimented for getting her body into such good shape, so soon. Kourtney Khloe says "i think Kourtney's smaller than what she was". I mean i think her body's better". However, the main experience that has people shocked, is how Kourtney 'delievered her own baby', by pulling it out when the doctor hd asked her if she wanted to hold her baby. Kourtney explains "I thought he meant like pull him out, so i just did".
What everyone wants to know, is if Khloe Kardashian is really two months pregnant. When joked and asked if she could drink a bottle of wine she responded by saying "Yeah, i could drink 12", but further goes on to inform us "I am not(pregnant)" but if, and when Khloe does fall pregnant she feels that she would not say anything as there is a fine line regarding a person's health.
Kourtney and Khloe were confronted about the USC news regarding Reggie Bush, and "a history of misdeeds" and that Reggie received improper benefits, where he received a car, his family received a house, as well as financial benefits.
Kourtney expressed "I think its all BS" and the goes on to describe Reggie Bush as a "really honest guy, and just from what i know of him, i wouldn't believe it unless he told me". Khloe defends Reggie by saying, "Reggie just is'nt someone that would lie".
Neither Kourtney nor Khloe have spoken to Kim or Reggie regarding this matter.
According to Kourtney, season two, is full of drama and excitement but "Then it kinda went to a dark place, and now im just happy to be home". Khloe adds on and explains "its very dramatic, its not like your normal reality tv moment" and also describes it as a "sad place". Its real, genuine, and involves many obstacles that one would face.
Be sure to catch the second season of the sexy kardashian sister's in "Kourtney and Khloe take Miami", which aired, 11 June at 10pm.

Story for RSP - Rachel Maddow
Rachel Maddow, from MSNBC, phoned Ryan Seacrest in-studio this morning to discuss what is really going on with the BP spill, and to discuss the latest findings and news.
Ryan compares a safety procedure to that of an aeroplane flight, where everyone is made aware of a scheduled routine emergency procedure if something were to happen. However, when it comes to BP, there is no known emergency procedure, in the instance of a damaged well, or any other related problems.
Rachel shares with us that the safety plan known for drilling under the sea, is "we promise nothing will happen". Every business obviously has no intention of there being a problem or 'blow-up' of any well situated on the sea bed, however, Rachel expresses that "the oil industry's been able to get away with saying 'we just think nothing bad is going to happen' for years and years".
56 days later, we are still not aware of the exact results of the oil spill or what is going to happen in the near-by future. This is due to, and Rachel explains, "the real reason is because there's no technology. There's no technology that exists on the earth to deal with a blown well at 5000ft, and people can only dive like 300ft."
When asked about her feelings towards the situation, Rachel expressed "I found myself angry and more, just upset than i thought i was going to be, by being out in the oil, and feeling like there's really no escape." She then continued to say "There's no escape from that, this is the only earth we've got. I was really a wreck by the time i came home."
There is no direct measure that is capable of determing the exact amount of oil that is spilling out, as everytime they revise it, the amounts have incresed. At this current moment in time, it is believed that the amount spilt has reached up to 40 000 barrels.
An important aspect that uspets Rachel, is the fact that BP is not focused on removing the oil that is currently settled in the water. She states, "I think they're so focused on whats going on at the sea bed", where as, the main focus is on whats going on at the sea bed and shutting of the oil supply. Rachel strongly believes, "I think BP is just sorta letting it happen".
President Obama will be present today, and will address the public tomorrow. According to Rachel, "The president is esentially, i think, going to try to say this is a national moment of wreckening, this is a disaster that is big enough that is going to change the way we behave as a country."
When it comes to an enormous environmental disaster, Rachel explains to us that the main focus bothering everyone, happens to be the disaster response, and it not being good. However, the oil companies kept saying "They'd be in charge", which in turn proved that "They didn't have it, and they're not capable of taking care of these kinds of problems."
BP stated that they would have the relief well drilled by August 2010, but Rachel discusses with us, after speaking to those around her, that the "The best perspective i've come up with on that, is that people who've looked at other spills historically that have needed relief wells in order to shut them down ,and i dont know of any where the first try at the relief well worked, and the first try is due mid-August".
Kevin Costner, with the help of his brother, is said to have spent more than 24million dollars, of his own money, developing a specialised machine to help with this disaster. The machine is designed to deal with the oil that is already settled in the water.
BP is rumoured to have bought more than 30 of the machines invented by Kevin Cosner. Rachel confirms that "It's totally the real deal". The machine "sucks up oil and water mixture, and spins it around, seperates the two and puts the water back in the ocean."
"They're not going to let this defeat them". Keep up to date with Rachel Maddow and the oil spill, on MSNBC, Monday to Friday at 9pm.

Story for RSP - Drake
23-year old rap artist, Drake, joined Ryan Seacrest in-studio this moning to discuss his new album, old hits, Lil' Wayne and last night's performance at BOA. Also in studio, was Microsoft Senior VP, Yusuf Mehdi, who joined Drake and Ryan Seacrest to discuss last nights Bing Entertainment Launch held last night at the very popular, BOA.
Drake recently released his rap album "Thank Me Later", which has already sold more than 460, 000 copies in the first week. The album includes collaborations by Lil' Wayne, Jason Meraz, and Young Jeezy. The latest track "Find Your Love", was produced by Kanye West. Drake goes on to describe his relationship working with Kanye West, "We worked on it together and I just remember how powerful I felt. We did it in Hawaii and mixed some of it in Jamaica so the feel of it was just very... it felt very tropical. It just felt good."
When describing his latest song, "Find Your Love", Drake describes that the most important thing about the song was that it felt "familiar" and explains, "It felt right. That was my reasoning for going for that song."
When asked about a previously popular hit, "Best I Ever Had", and the confidence behind the song and the lyrics, as well as how he feels about the song now, Drake explains to us, "I made that song for someone I was dating at the time, it was just like the best, most exciting relationship I had been in to date".
According to Drake, "Best I ever had" started out as a joke, which was part of a Mixed Tape project that Drake was putting out for free. Although originally being a 'joke', it resulted in Drake making an "Overly flattering song and it ended up getting a Grammy". The mixed tape was described as "Sonically dark" and Drake felt that it needed a song that encorporated something more on a happier tone, and described it as missing that "clear cut", thus, "Best I Ever Had" was produced.
Drake tackles the question as to why his concert was recently cancelled, which was to be held at the South Street Seaport in New York. The latest comebacks 'Hanson', was also present and were due to perform just before Drake hit the stage. South Street Seaport, also known as the 'Finacial District', is not an area commonly used or concert based, and Drake explains that 5000-6000 people were originally expected to attend this concert. Drake describes what exactly went down that night, "I remember being on the bus and I was so excited, I was in the back getting mentally ready, and we get a call, like, 'Please don't show up here'."
According to the police, 25, 000 people arrived at the event, and when word spread that they were planning on shutting down the event, the crowds began to throw bottles and chairs and become unruly, threatening the safety of the other attendees. Drake responded by saying, "I think that the turn-out was underestimated, but the fact that there were so many devoted fans there, it was definitely humbling, I was definitely honored."
When compared to being that of Lil' Wayne's prodege' Drake replied, "I am, Yes Sir" and goes on to confirm that he indeed saw Lil' Wayne recently in jail. Drake tells how its was "a change for me to see a man who i've always viewed as my hero and always viewed as very powerful, and in some-what of a vulnerable position, i believe, to see him being talked to how he was talked to by the guards, in cuffs."
When expressing his own emotions toward Lil' Wayne, Drake tells us that it was "a bit painful for me but, one thing about Wayne that's great, is through any situation, his spirits are always high, he never shows what's really bothering him."
According to Drake, Lil' Wayne is very eager to get back out into the music world and give the people and fans the music that they love and want to hear.
Drake and Wayne share a very close friendship and Drake proudly tells us how he puts Wayne up on a pedestal. He also adds, "It was great to see him still have his heart". There's no doubt that jail has the effect to change a person, and when asked if Drake thinks that Wayne's time in jail and that 'type of environment' will change him 'musically', Drake responds by saying,"I hope that it will change him as a person for the better, I just hope that he'll come out to understand that there are consequences for your actions, even though a lot of us feel that necessarily he didn't do anything completely wrong."
Drake ends off by saying how he is waiting in anticipation and how excited he is for Lil' Waynes return and relesase from jail, which is rumored to be in November of this year.
Regarding the BIng Entertainment Launch last night, the main topic of discussion was that of the 'Future of Entertainment'. A star-studded guest list and panel of speakers included the likes of, Twitter Founder Biz Stone, Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Director of the Hurtlocker Kathryn Bigelow and our very own Ryan Seacrest.
Drake was the star of the evening who performed live last night at the special event for a small grou of people. When asked about attending last night's event, Drake tells us how, "It was my first, i guess like, corporate thing, and I had the greatest time of my life."
An interesting topic that was dicussed at last night's event, was that of people watching television but not fully focusing all their attention on what they are watching, but instead, engaging in other social networks at the same time and directing most of their focus on the networks. When it comes to television, Drake describes that, even though he may not have the time to watch a great amount of television, however, wen he does, he states, "I try and focus, I mean, if I take the time to watch it, I definitely want to watch it, I want to pay attention and try and remember what happened as opposed to doing three things, but I do have a hard time staying off my phone in movies an on tv."
It's no secet that social networks have become widely accepted and commonly used nowadays, even to the extent that it is taking over the use of older and other social network means. When it comes to using Twitter, Drake informs us that "I use my social networking more when i hear something of substance, I know that i have a younger generation paying attention to what I say" and then goes on to tell us that he will only post or tweet when he has something of substance to say and that will be of specific interest to his fans.
When it comes down to statistics, 78% of network users are known to search for lyrics of a song, 82% search to look up certain songs, and according to Yusuf, the most recent discovery is that more and more mother's have become interested and involved in 'gaming'. Yusuf and Drake engaged in an interesting conversation and according to Yusuf, it "Turns out, secret, There is about 30 million mom's in the United States who 'game' everyday."
Go to Bing.com/entertainment and search for Drakes latest news, music and lyrics, and for special gaming tips and hints, go check out Gaming 'level walk throughs' and 'cheat codes' on BING.com.

Top 10 explanations for why Charlie Sheen's cars keep getting stolen?

2) Its Charlie Sheen... He never does anything the easy way- When It's time for a new car, why not organise a burglary so that the old car gets driven off a cliff. Now that's entertaainment!
3) One less thing his wife will claim in the divorce settlement!!
4) Breaking News: Charlie Sheen, is the new Chuck Norris. His cars disappear in a flash and reappear without a single trace.
5)It's the only way to get a reaction out of people. Its not Charlie Sheen receiving the attention-the public feel sorry for the stolen car! After all, people do cherish their cars in the United States as if they were people with feelings.
6) Who needs a car when you're going to land up in jail anyway???
7) Charlie always maintains some sort of close relationship with the cops, so instead of inviting them over for a beer, why not put them to work and keep them on their toes? Everyone loves searching for missing cars, its a new hobby.
8) Why drink and drive, when you can smoke and fly???
9) His cars actually represent that of his personal relationships - which seem to always end up squashed, abandoned and off to the pound.
10) Charlie Sheen has his own makeover brand in the new 'Pimp My Ride' show! So, his cars weren't stolen, they were just being "Sheened all out".
Story for RSP- Billy Joel Armstrong
Green Day will be performing at the upcoming 64th Tony Awards, on Sunday, 20h00 on CBS.
Billy tells us about The American Idiot Music Adaptation of the GreenDay album and explains that it came about when Greenday read 'American Idiot' as a Rock Opera. The talented Michael Meyer, who directed 'Spring Awakening' approached Greenday and explained how he wanted to turn it into a stage production, which has furthermore been nominated for several Tony Awards.
Billy describes the opening as "a collage with pop culture going on all these tv screens" and explains how the show encorporates Ryan Seacrest's voice with the infamous phrase: "And this is........" which is related to the very popular show, American Idol.
Billy tells us that Greenday will be performing at the Tony Awards, but have not yet decided on a performing song. The cast of American Idiot will also be performing at the event, as well as a medley of songs will be performed that encorporates all the broadway shows that are currently showing, this season.
When asked about how the band stays so young after all the many years performing and productions, Billy jokes and says "maybe plastic surgery and viagra". Billy explains that the secret to maintaining good, young, and fresh music as well as a healthy lifestyle, is 'balance' and goes on to describe it as having to balance "how much you party and how much you gotta take care of yourself".
When it comes to the band and maintaining success, Billy says they are "always trying to push the envelope and just keep trying to write and becoming better and better as a song writer" and also adds that Greenday reaches their success by progressing slowly and on their own terms and not listening to what record companies tell them regarding what the record company's interpretation is of what they are supposed to be.
The bandmates have been compared to that of 'close brothers' and Billy adds by saying that they may sometimes get irritated with each other, however, "all those personalities and that energy all goes back into Greenday, even though the parts that get on your nerves are actually probably the strongest points of the band".
Billy currently resides in Oakland Calafornia and often makes his way to New York and Orange County, but was currently calling from Munich Germany.
With a busy schedule, and shows running longer than two to three hours, you can catch Greenday performing at the lollapalooza concert in Chicago, and playing in various ampitheatres all over the states, in the month of August.
Greenday describes their concerts and shows as "a non stop marathon" but in the mind of Billy Joel Armstrong "i wouldnt wanna be doing anything else, ill tell you that"

DEV PATEL A Story I Did For RSP
DEV PATEL
Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel spoke to Ryan Seacrest this morning to tackle the rumor that he and girlfriend Freida Pinto are the new couple that has headed down the engagement path.
Ryan confronted Patel, about the recent reports that Dev and "Slumdog Millionaire" co-star Freida recently got engage. Dev Patel responded by saying "NO.... That's rubbish". So, when asked about whether or not he is indeed dating her, he replies by saying "yeah... kind of". When Ryan jokes and says that by saying 'kind of' when he is in fact in a relationship, "is kind of a problem" and will get him into some trouble with the lady, Patel quickly replies by saying "No we are, we are."
"The Last Airbender", Written, produced and directed by the talented M. Night Shyamalan, is an action-adventure fantasy film scheduled to be released on July 1, 2010, where Patel plays Prince Zuko. When asked about his character and whether he was playing a "good guy or a bad guy", Patel responded by telling us that his character plays "a bit of both. Everyone calls him evil, but more than anything, he's just a confused boy, bursting into manhood, struggling to find the right path."
The cartoon may portrait more of an evil character but Patel explains to us that his character, Prince Zuko, of whom is banished by his father, "Is just a child struggling to regain his honor in love."
Patel, who replaced Jesse Mcartney as Prince Zuko, tells us that since the success of "Slumdog Millionaire", he has not yet decided to move to Hollywood, and his life has been somewhat relaxed, besides shooting this film. Patel, who currently resides in London, considers himself a bit of a "travelling gypsy" as he is constantly "all over the place."
With the upcoming premiere of "The Last Airbender", Patel will embark on a wide world press tour and tells us that he is somewhat "nervous- I'm biting my fingernails."
Patel managed to familiarise himself with the animated tv series before he started shooting, by catching a few episodes on his 'down-time' while shooting "Slumdog Millionaire". Being a huge fan of martial arts and liking all the "Bruce Lee, Jet-Lee's, Jacki Chan's", Patel tells us how this animated cartoon contains a wide variety of martial arts and visual effects. Being a black-belt, and active in taikwando for the last eight years, Patel describes the movie as the type of movie that "brought out the inner child in me."
M. Night Shyamalan, who calls himself "Night", is, according to Patel, "a real family man" and also goes on to tell us that the biggest fans of the movie, in his opinion, are probably that of his 3 young daughters.
"The Last Airbender", which stars Dev Patel, Jackson Rathbone, Nicola Peltz, Noah Ringer, is out in 3D as well as in 2D theatres this thursday, 1 July.
Miley Cyrus - A STORY I DID FOR RSP
Miley Cyrus
Thursday, 10th June, the pop sensation Miley Cyrus dropped into the on-air studio with Ryan Seacrest to discuss her new album, "Can't Be Tamed", however, the main focus was if she would tackle the rumors that the young starlet will be making a cameo in 2010′s SATC prequel, playing a young Carrie Bradshaw.
According to the 17 year old, "no one's ever contacted me about this", but does feel that it would be an honor if she was asked to star in the up and coming movie. As she is a huge fan of the movie and considers herself "obsessed" she says that if asked, she would definitely accept the opportunity to star in the movie.
Miley's has just returned from presenting "Can't Be Tamed" in Madrid, which is released on June 22nd, and shares that one of her favorite song on the album is, "Every Rose has its Thorn" which she specifically added to the album for her mom, Tish, simply because she is such a huge fan of the song.
According to Miley there will be a special event, at a secret LA club, on the 21st June, the day before her album is released, however, the details could not be discussed at this time.
With a provocative and wild album title, Miley feels the her album is "just as honest as all the rest, its just from, now, someones whos like 17, going on 18, not 12 going on 13"
With her 18th birthday approaching at the end of the year, Miley hopes to be recognized for all her works, as she feels that alot of her talent was not recognized in the past due to the fact that she was of a younger age. She does go on to add "Disney isnt doing my voice, Disney isnt doing the actions that i did", so hopes to be recognized as the talented individual that she is.
She further goes on to discuss her relationship with her other half, Liam Hemsworth, who will be celebrating their one year anniversary as a young couple in less than a week. According to Miley, Liam's advice is the only advice she really listens to as she feels he is really smart, and simply because he is a really good friend.
When asked about the worst case scenario, if Liam was to return to his hometown in Australia, Miley responds by saying "I like Australia". She describes her relationship as "strong as an ox" and says that there are no downsides to their relationship.
Being a young, adventurous, and vibrant teen Miley feels and describes that its perfectly acceptable to go out dancing and have fun, but doesnt want people to immediately assume she is on drugs or intoxicated. Miley stands by her word and says that "drugs are for idiots" and will steer clear of that path. Miley is the kind of girl that 'has her own fun' and with all the positive influences around her, will motivate her to stay true to herself.
Miley tells us that her inspiration to remain "tame" is Brett Michaels. With him being in her life, he has taught her so many important life lessons. As he is considered one of the biggest party personalities in Hollywood he has shared many stories with Miley that she feels would simple not be worth it.
Watch out for talented Miley Cyrus new album, Can't Be Tamed, releasing 22nd June 2010.
HAS SA FINALLY MADE ITS MARK ON THE WORLD??
HAS SOUTH AFRICA FINALLY MADE ITS MARK ON THE WORLD??? a story i did for Ryan Seacrest Productions
Amongst the many foreign soccer supporters and people travelling to South Africa for the World Cup, Paris Hilton and Leo DiCaprio were recently added to the list of celebrities that have touched-down on SA soil.
Would anyone have considered travelling to SA if it hadn't been for the world cup?
Many people are unaware of the history and beauty of South African and stil believe that it is undeveloped like the rest of Africa, with elephants and lions roaming in their back gardens. However, hosting the 2010 Soccer World Cup has provided SA with the opportunity to show the world it's true beauty, modernised cities, culture and sites of this vibrant land.
Many 'celebrities' have turned to their twitter profiles to describe how wonderful their South African experience has been.
Kimora-Lee Simmons, a former model, recently 'tweeted': "I am very sad 2 b leaving the gorgeous S.Africa! Thank u 2 all 4 ur luv and kindness! We'll b back very, very soon! Team Fabulosity SA rocks," she said.
Will.i.am, of the popualer music group Black Eyed Peas 'tweeted', "The people in south africa are kind loving and peaceful...can't believe apartheid was only 20years ago...and now the world is here...amazing."
"South Africa rocks, this is the place to be," Akon said on his Twitter profile.
"Thank You S. Africa!!" R Kelly said on his departure.
So, who is going to be the next star to visit South Africa and will they see more of South Africa than just a soccer game? Has South Africa finally made it's mark on the world??
No stranger to South africa is that of E!'s Sal Masekela, who's father is well-known in the South AFrican Music Industry. Sal has currently in SA, and posted on his twitter, "Week four in SA. Damn time flies." He is a firm supporter of South African and has made a return on a frequent basis. He recently said on his Twitter profile, "Back in Jozi. Thanks Durbs and Cape Town for the magic hospitality."
Not only has South Africa become a popular holiday destination, movie directors are looking to the shores and landmarks of South Africa to film movies and utilise what SA has to offer. Halle Berry is due to move to South Africa for a three month perios to shoot a movie from July until September.
Since the opening of the Soccer World Cup, the celebrities have been streaming in. Prince William and Prince Harry of England, Princess Takamado of Japan and Spanish Crown Prince Felipe of Asturias are representing royalty.
Joe Jonas of The Jonas Brothers, Reggie Bush, John Travolta, fashion moghul Kimora Lee Simmons, her husband Cameroon-born actor Dijimon Hounsou. Also adding to the list is that of Survivor Africa winner Ethan Zohn and girlfriend Jenna Morasca, US Soccer Legend Alexi Lallas, Sir David Richards, chairman of the English premier League, Ruud Gullit, Mick Jagger and Rafael Benitez have all been spotted in and around SA.
On the business front, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich have visited and Lakshmi Mittal, Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour are reported to be coming.
South African born actress, Charlize Theron is also expected to make an appearance in the up-coming weeks.
WIth a constant increse in foreign visitors, SA is bound to benefit from all the currency being spent and money being brought into the country, even though it will never match the costs that were spent in preparation for the World Cup. Through the World Cup, SA has also been able to draw a vast amount of attention to issues that Africa as well as South Africa have been facing for many years and are stil facing on a daily basis. Econometrix analyst, Tont Twine, “I think in the longer term we will see definite assistance to economic growth simply because of the global market exposure that the South African economy is enjoying at the moment.”
Joe Jonas, from the popular "Jonas Brothers", who was currently in SA, started off his travels in Maun, Botswana, Africa. "I brought some of my best friends with me to be a part of this incredible experience. We were all changed by what we saw."
He posted on his twitter, "I have seen some amazing things, met some wonderful people, tried some tasty foods, and been inches from HUGE lions. I have also experienced new cultures like I have never seen before."
The more people that have the opportunity to travel, to not only SA, but also to African countries, will hopefully be able to spread the word on what the conditions in that area are and ultimately create awareness that will save lives.
I, Kirsty du Toit, interning at Ryan Seacrest Productions believe that South Africa really needed this World Cup. We needed the attention. We needed the support. We needed people to see past all the bad things that are constantly expressed on television. Before the World Cup began, SA was dealing with many internal problems that were creating rifts amongst people and bad energy, but the World Cup changed all that.
The meaning behind the Soccer World Cup was that of bringing people together and I believe that by displaying all that SA has to offer, as well as the fact that a country with multiple races, 11 languages, and different beliefs can come together and support an event, despite all the hardships dealt with in the past.
SA is showing the world what it means to be truly 'UNITED', a lesson that we can all be reminded of.
Kerryn Du Toit, a student in South Africa, explains to us what this World Cup has done for her, "It's putting South Africa on the world map, we always jus get generalised as Africa and people do not know the true meaning and beauty of this country! This event has brought many people here from all corners of the world and they finally get to see what we see : The beloved country, we call SA. It's shown me that even though there are rifts between cultures, with this one event, the World Cup has brought everyone together and everyone has been proud to stand tall and together to support our country."
Jabu Mzimela, of South Africa, tells us that South Africa hosting the 2010 Soccer World Cup has "given me something to aspire towards"
Michelle Fourie, an air-hostess in South Africa explains, "That as a country that has a past can strive forword for a beautiful and united future."
In the words of Muhammed Minty, a South African Student, "Ubuntu", which is a Nguni word which has no direct translation into English, but is used to describe a particular African worldview in which people can only find fulfilment through interacting with other people. Thus is represents a spirit of kinship across both race and creed which united mankind to a common purpose.
Clayton Papenfus, a 22-year old South AFrican shares with us, "It has opened my eyes to the true beauty of the South African people and has shown me that in spite of the nonsense politicians will have us believe, we are united in our love for our country."
South Africa has definitely made it's mark during 2010 and used this opportunity to the fullest. SA has even come up with their own "soccer dance" for the 2010 Soccer World Cup, The "Diski Dance" which has been used around schools and universities and taught to children, adults and the elderly all over the country.
But the big question is will people continue to flock to SA once the World Cup is over?
With all the positive reviews and outcomes from the world cup.... I certainly hope so. People will certainly be missing out on an incredible place and incredible experiences if they do not.
